Costa Rica
Costa Rica is one of the best-known origins in the specialty world. Finca San Calletano is tended by Diego Arabaca, and the processing is handled by the Alto San Juan micromill. Diego's farm is in the Tarrazú region, whose cool nights and volcanic soil create excellent conditions for slow ripening and the concentrated sugars that come with it. The farm sits at the top of the hillside, where yields grow year after year. That lets him experiment with several processing methods alongside stricter quality control. In the cup, the vivid acidity of sour cherry leads, balanced by a dark-chocolate body and a sweet, creamy mouthfeel.

About this lot
Lively acidity and a fruity character, balanced by thick, dark chocolatey body. A truly special coffee, whether served as an espresso or a filter coffee.
We buy small lots and roast them in batches we can taste all the way through. Every bag carries its roast date — not a best-before, because coffee does not spoil, it only loses its best.
